Field Services Technician - Overnight Travel Required
Pay: $20/hour
We're seeking a skilled Field Services Technician to join our team for a traveling role covering installations, maintenance, and inventory tracking across NYS. This position requires weekly overnight travel (3-4 nights per week) and offers hands-on work with a variety of IT equipment.
Responsibilities of the Field Services Technician will include:
Installing laptops, desktops, thin clients, monitors, and peripherals at customer locations.
Removing disconnected/surplus equipment and returning it to designated sites.
Performing accurate inventory and asset recording before and during delivery.
Completing work orders, expense reports, and timesheets promptly.
Acting as a liaison between the technical team and the customer.
Operating a company van and maintaining stock of necessary equipment.
Traveling to customer locations with flexibility, including weekend departures and off-hour travel.
Job Requirements
Qualifications for the role of Field Services Technician:
AAS degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
2+ years of experience in field services support and network cabling.
2+ years of experience with PC systems, peripherals, structured cabling, and common operating systems.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong organizational, customer service, and communication skills.
