    Our well-established client in the greater Schenectady, NY area is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with a strong foundation in GAAP and a background in accounting across multiple entities.

     

    Responsibilities of the Accountant will include:

    • Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements across multiple business entities
    • Develop and analyze monthly cash flow projections
    • Collaborate with managers to assess and communicate operating forecasts and results
    • Assist with the planning, preparation, and review of annual operating budgets
    • Support various special projects as assigned by management

     
    Job Requirements
     

    Qualifications of the Accountant:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
    • Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Previous experience working in a CPA firm is a plus
    • Familiarity with leasing, property management, or real estate industry preferred
    • Experience with Yardi is highly desirable
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting-related business systems

     

    Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $60,000 - $70,000.
