We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Staff Coordinator for our client to oversee and manage the credentialing and reappointment processes for medical and allied health professionals. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with all bylaws, regulations, and standards while providing essential administrative support to the medical and dental staff organization.

 

Responsibilities of the Medical Staff Coordinator will include:

  • Coordinate and manage the credentialing and reappointment of medical and allied health staff, including distributing                   applications, collecting, and processing all necessary documentation.
  • Provide timely notifications to medical and allied health staff regarding their reappointment responsibilities and ensure all           required documents are completed and submitted.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring all credentials and supporting documents remain current between                  reappointment cycles, in compliance with applicable regulations and organizational bylaws.

 
Job Requirements

 

Qualifications of the Medical Staff Coordinator:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of credentialing and privileging experience required; two or more years strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis or IT database systems in a healthcare setting is highly valued.
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, database management, and internet applications.
  • Experience with the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling complex processes and sensitive information.


Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $22-$34/hr.
