Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Counter Sales Representative to join their growing team in Kingston, NY. Previous retail & commercial lighting experience is preferred.
Responsibilities of the Counter Sales Representative:
Serves customers by helping them select products.
Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
Responds to customers' questions.
Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
Provides outstanding customer service.
Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
Manages financial transactions.
Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Counter Sales Representative:
Previous retail & commercial lighting experience is preferred
High school diploma
Strong customer service experience
Highly motivated, flexible, and service-oriented
Is a fast learner and passionate about sales
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $19-$21/hr + commission.
