Our dynamic and fast-paced client located near Syracuse, NY is seeking a detail-oriented part-timeIT Support Technician to assist with equipment setup, software installations, and end-user support. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical support environment and is passionate about delivering excellent service.
Responsibilities of the IT Support Technicianwill include:
Unpack and prepare IT equipment for deployment
Configure device settings including asset tagging and BIOS hostname setup
Provide on-site and remote end-user technical support
Conduct hardware and software inventory tracking
Install and validate software on various operating systems
Apply system updates and security patches
Migrate user data from legacy devices to new equipment
Troubleshoot and adjust configurations based on user validation feedback
Deliver and set up IT equipment for end users
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Perform other duties as assigned
Requisitos
Qualifications of the IT Support Technician:
Experience supporting and troubleshooting Chromebooks
Familiarity with ticketing systems and service desk environments
Strong knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office, Chrome OS, Google Workspace, and macOS
Working knowledge of AV hardware including projectors, smartboards, and interactive flat panels
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Must successfully pass a background check
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $23-$26/hr.
