⭐⭐⭐ Risk & Insurance Analyst ⭐⭐⭐ Location: Albany, NY (On-site) Salary: $80,000-$100,000/year; based on experience Experience Requirements: 5+ years in risk management, insurance, or related fields
We're seeking a Risk & Insurance Analyst to join a growing team in the Albany, NY, area. This full-time position plays a key role in managing corporate insurance programs, evaluating risk exposure, and coordinating across departments including Finance, Operations, and Legal. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in insurance policy administration, claims management, and risk mitigation strategy.
Responsibilities of the Risk & Insurance Analyst include:
Oversee corporate insurance programs including policy placement, underwriting coordination, and coverage analysis
Collaborate with brokers and internal departments to ensure appropriate protection across business operations
Maintain and update surety bonds, certificates of insurance, and policy documentation
Lead claims reporting, tracking, and resolution efforts, working with carriers and internal teams
Review contracts and vendor agreements for adequate risk coverage
Monitor and manage audit processes, premium budgets, and bond utilization
Maintain an organized repository of domestic and international policy documents
Use claims data and benchmarking to identify trends and improve safety practices
Assist in debt compliance reporting and loan document analysis
Contribute to continuous improvement of risk and insurance operations
Requisitos
Qualifications for the role of Risk & Insurance Analyst:
Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in insurance, corporate risk management, or a related field
Solid knowledge of commercial insurance policies, claims resolution, and vendor risk review
Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with policy tracking systems preferred
Certifications such as CRM, CPCU, or ARM are a plus
