A fast-growing, client-focused firm in the employee benefits space located near Albany, NY is seeking a hybridSales Executive to drive new business development and revenue growth across the Capital Region and broader New York State. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and experienced professional to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering consultative solutions to employers through comprehensive benefits strategies.
Responsibilities of the Sales Executivewill include:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the employee benefits market through proactive networking, industry events, and relationship-building initiatives.
Develop and execute sales strategies that foster lasting partnerships and convert prospects into clients.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of client needs in relation to group medical, dental, life/AD&D, disability, and voluntary benefit products.
Engage directly with mid-to-large group prospects, with a particular focus on healthcare systems and hospitals in New York State, as well as other industries.
Collaborate with nationally recognized brokerage firms in joint pursuit of larger market opportunities.
Lead the sales process, working closely with internal account management to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience.
Take a consultative approach to uncover client challenges and craft tailored benefit solutions.
Create and maintain a detailed individual business plan with actionable steps to achieve annual sales targets.
Represent the organization as a thought leader via panels, webinars, and industry forums.
Serve as a resource and mentor to team members on strategies for business development and revenue generation.
Meet or exceed revenue goals in alignment with overall business objectives.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current on industry trends, products, and regulatory changes.
Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, account management, and product specialists to identify opportunities and support sales efforts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activity in the CRM system, sharing insights with colleagues and leadership.
Requisitos
Qualifications of the Sales Executive:
Bachelor's degree preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Minimum of 5-10 years of successful sales experience in group medical or ancillary insurance required.
Proven ability to sell in a consultative manner to C-level executives and key decision-makers.
Experience managing large, complex, and high-profile accounts.
Strong communication, analytical, listening, and presentation skills.
Active New York State Life and Health license required; Property & Casualty license a plus.
Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Exceptional relationship-building skills with a passion for connecting with clients and prospects.
Willingness to travel throughout New York State, with occasional overnight stays. Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $70,000 - $75,000 plus bonus.
