Our well-established industrial client located in the Clifton Park, NY area is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small warehouse team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational skills, and is committed to safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement across warehouse operations.
The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee day-to-day operations in the materials department, ensuring that receiving, inventory control, picking, and deliveries are handled efficiently and safely. This role involves supervising a team of 6-8 employees, collaborating with internal departments, and taking an active role in maintaining accurate inventory and streamlined workflows.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor will include:
Supervise and assist team members with unloading, receiving, stocking, and picking materials.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain clean, organized storage and workspaces.
Coordinate with Planning and Production to prioritize material flow for customer orders.
Optimize storage layouts and manage daily incoming materials and space utilization.
Lead department process improvements in collaboration with the management team.
Perform and review inventory transactions, investigating discrepancies as needed.
Oversee the flow of made-to-order assemblies and unused parts between production and inventory.
Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to ensure safety and cleanliness in all material handling areas.
Manage and schedule company box truck (non-CDL) deliveries and pickups.
Monitor and replenish shop stock; collaborate with Purchasing and Planning as needed.
Maintain training and safety logs for warehouse equipment and team members.
Requisitos
Qualifications of the Warehouse Supervisor:
Degree in Business, Inventory Management, or related field preferred-or equivalent work experience supervising a warehouse team.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in inventory control, warehouse operations, and safety procedures.
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (training provided).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, $75,000 - $90,000.
