Our client is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join their corporate team in Latham, NY. In this key role, you'll work closely with field engineers and senior managers to manage job costing, billing, and expense reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on project accounting experience and support high-visibility operations across a well-established team.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Coordinator:
Prepare weekly time & materials project billings with all required documentation
Track and apply payroll hours and job costs to their corresponding projects
Monitor and manage Extra Work Authorizations and ensure proper invoicing
Reconcile subcontractor invoices and address discrepancies
Collaborate with operations and finance leaders to ensure accurate billing
Review and process Concurexpense reports and assist with new hire onboarding
Provide executive support to the VP (including travel arrangements and scheduling)
Support cross-functional accounting and operations teams as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Accounting Coordinator:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred; Associate's may be considered)
1-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or project coordination
Prior experience with project-based, construction, or field service accounting is a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Concur or similar expense software
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
High attention to detail and ability to work independently
