BASIC JOB FUNCTION AND SCOPE:Perform duties within the Quality Assurance Department where the primary responsibility is ensure that parts meet the customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability.
WORK PERFORMED:- Obtain samples from machines (molding and/or secondary).
Check parts visually and dimensionally for compliance to standards given on part prints or in AMSs.
Accurately record information obtained from floor inspections. Complete necessary forms accurately and in a timely manner.
Accurately prepare and maintain appropriate records. Prepare wall charts for Production.
File part drawings.
Perform other related duties assigned or requested.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:Interact with the Engineering, Plant Management, Inspect/Pack, Scheduling, Production Tool Inspection departments and with other employees in the Quality Assurance department.
EQUIPMENT:Routine care and operation of assigned and shared precision instruments including comparators, micrometers, microfilm viewers, dial calipers, gage blocks, pin gages, solder pots, pull testers, and wall indicators. Also responsible for care and operation of telephones

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- One year of precision instrument reading or equivalent experience.
Skills Required:
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Background doing dimensional inspection using mircrometers, calipers, and other measuring eqpt.
- Attention to detail
- Legible handwriting
Ability to accurately read precision instruments
- Good vision
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Skills may be acquired through on-the-job training. |
