Job Description

Our customer has a Field Service job.
The Field Service Representative maintains the integrity of the companies registered mark by conducting factory inspections and safeguarding on-going conformity of products.
 • Conduct factory inspections at authorized factories. Select representative product samples to audit; determine if sample complies with all applicable standards and Certification report; review quality control and testing documentation.
• Prepare Factory Inspection Reports (FIR), Initial Factory Evaluation (IFE) reports, and consumer product evaluation reports to document inspection findings per procedures and work instructions. Review previous FIR's to determine if previous deviations have been corrected. With supervision, determine satisfactory corrective action and time frame to implement the changes; determine if non-compliance merits stop shipments, re-investigation or removal of mark and takes appropriate action.
 • Maintain contact with clients by following up, providing information, and responding to inquiries. Keep current on new services available and communicates these to clients as necessary and assist clients with making changes to their records.
  • Travel will consist of 1 week at home and 3 weeks traveling to customer sites.  If you reside between Milwaukee and Madison the overnight travel could be 1-2 hours each way.
  • Company will re-imburse for rental car OR will re-imburse .52 cents up to the first 600 miles.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (fresh grads welcome)
OR • Electrical Engineering Technology or Associates Degree (with some experience),
OR • Licensed Electrician (with some related experience) or military background in electronics/electrical areas.
• 5-7 years’ experience
• 1-2 years industry related experience Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills; self-starter; good decision-making skills and organizational skills.
• Strong conflict resolution skills to be able to handle difficult situations.
• With assistance, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test data.
 • Computer skills (word processing, e-mail).
• Usage of calibrated measurement instruments, high voltage test equipment, hand tools.
• Ability to manage multiple inspection files and changing schedules and deadlines with supervision.
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, as well as general laboratory procedures as they relate to performing factory inspections.
