Job Description

-Provide standards and design criteria for piping and pressure vessel components - Review customer requirements/specifications during the proposal phase and identify any engineering issues to Proposal Engineers; - Define technical requirements per applicable codes that govern detail design, fabrication and erection; - Perform design analysis/calculations of piping and pressure vessel components to be used in the development of drawings and systems; - Perform design analysis/calculations for boiler auxiliary components, such as pipe and tank supports, lugs, saddles, casing seals and pipe racks; - Provide technical assistance to the project teams during contract when required (for contract execution and aftermarket phases of a project); - Support manufacturing and customer needs which may include travel and short duration assignments within and outside of the United States; - Evaluate and develop design and/or methodology enhancements to the products to improve cost effectiveness, reduce manufacturing and/or construction cycles, improve product reliability and/or reduce Company risks; - Analyze and determine the root causes for variances from schedule and project targets and work to streamline the workflow to reduce variances


Job Requirements

- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineerig  - Seven (7) years + experience in pressure vessel or piping design for large capital equipment - Demonstrates a thorough understanding of ASME and relevant international codes related to piping and pressure vessel design - Familiarity with Ceasar, Autopipe or equivalent software for the design and analysis of piping and pressure vessel systems. - Ability to work with minimal direct supervision and will be required to monitor and guide others in specific assignments - Routinely assists in the development of enhancements and improvements to existing designs and development of standards and methods that improve consistency, reduce cost, complexity and risk - Ability to demonstrate good judgment based on experience during planning and development of designs
PE license preferred.
