One of our customers is searching for a Shipping / Receiving Assistant. Candidate will be responsible for the following:
Job Description
- Unload incoming freight
- Accurately complete receiving process in SAP
- Maintains clean receiving dock and area
- Prepares any items for returns to suppliers
- Work with purchasing with any receiving issues
- Safe handling of products being received
- Additional tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Work in teams to build consensus & solve problems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Associate degree or technical school, or previous relevant experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
- Stand 8-10 hours a day
- Ensures safety is maintained
- Advocate for safe working practices
Experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in receiving environment
- Experience with SAP preferred but not required
- Proficiency in using MS Excel
- Detail oriented
- Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a must
- Any additional experience will be considered
