Position Summary:
Assemble and wire electrical control panels for standard as well as custom-built power conversion products/assemblies which include AC and DC Low Voltage Drives, Inverters for Battery Energy Storage & EV charging, Medium Voltage Drives, PLC's, and HMI's for both industrial and renewable energy applications.
Essential Job Functions:
Unbox and physically identify the mechanical and electrical components required for the assembly as per the layout drawings, schematics and parts lists.
Possess the ability to read schematics and layout the control panel per the dimensions given.
Drill, tap holes, and mount/securely fasten components as required in enclosures and control panels.
Quickly, efficiently, and accurately assemble and point to point wire electrical control panels while maintaining a high level of quality.
Create and apply identification tags/labels as per drawings.
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with peers and management (team player).
Identify and elevate opportunities for process improvements.
Job Requirements
Education/License Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience Requirements
2+ years' experience working as an electrical panel builder / wire person in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to recognize common electrical controls components.
Ability to use hand (e.g. wire strippers/crimpers) and/or power tools (e.g. drills, punches, jigsaws).
