Job Description

Provides guidance and work direction to lead personnel and production workers to achieve production goals consistent with budgetary costs and quality standards.  Responsible for any combination of the following molding, and metal fabrication.
1)     Develops plans and work schedules for assigned production areas to achieve maximum effective utilization of all available resources.
2)     Maintains an adequately skilled work force consistent with production goals and schedules.
3)     Anticipates production problems and where possible devises and implements procedures to offset these problems.
4)     Provides training and guidance as required for personnel development and resolution of routine problems.
5)     Recommends overtime as production schedules warrant.  Schedules overtime with appropriate approvals.
6)     Recommends changes in methods procedures and policies with appropriate approvals.
7)     Interfaces with other shifts.

Job Requirements

The employee performing this job has the responsibility to understand, follow, promote and enforce all company rules and safe work practices.
  •  Assist in developing workplace safety procedures for their respective departments.
  • Conduct investigations of any accident/incidents occurring in their departments.
  • Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents – anywhere – anytime.

1)     Reviews weekly/monthly performances against assigned department and shift objectives with respect to continuous improvement in product quality, scrap, cost and delivery.
2)     Develops and implements corrective actions as appropriate.
3)     Exercises the authority to take corrective/remedial action if an employee is observed performing a process or operating a machine that is not providing a service or producing product that meets quality requirements.  This includes stopping the employee from continuing the process or operating the machine, and insuring containment of product pending a decision on fitness for use.

1)     A.S. degree in Business Administration, or Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in supervisory or engineering support in production management, or
2)     A minimum of five (5) years related experience gained from increasingly responsible positions within a related production area.
3)     Leadership Experience and Interpersonal Skills.
4)     Written and Verbal Communications skills.
