Job Description

One of our customers is searching for a Regulatory Compliance Manager. Candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Understand, secure, and maintain necessary registrations / authorizations under global chemical control regulations (REACH, TSCA, DSL, AICS, etc.).
  • Point of internal contact for customer inquiries regarding product regulatory compliance matters. (i.e., TSCA Verifications, RoHS Letters, REACH questionnaires, etc.)
  • Manage all aspects of SDS’s including authoring (i.e. GHS Classification) of new SDS’s; updating existing SDS’s due to regulatory changes, etc.; and interpreting and applying regulatory requirements globally (U.S., EU, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with EU REACH including substance Pre-Registration, Classification and Registration activities; and SIEF participation.
  • Ensure compliance with Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements including monitoring of global adoption; assessing impact to Gabriel; and managing SDS and label requirements.
  • Assist in establishing Harmonized tariff codes
  • Obtain and maintain required compliance information from suppliers to provide evidence of compliance to Bills of Materials (BOM), drawings, engineering change requests, material deviations, etc. requirements. Compliance information as it pertains to RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, Country of Origin and other compliance, as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Require Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical or biological science, or other related field
  • 3-5 years’ minimum experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs or other related field
  • Deep knowledge of relevant federal and state laws and regulations governing product safety such as TSCA, FIFRA, FDA, OSHA Hazard Communications, hazardous materials transportation as well as knowledge of product risk management and product stewardship is essential.
  • Significant experience with the following regulations: EU REACH; GHS (Globally); Conflict Minerals and Dangerous Goods.
  • Familiarity with global chemical control laws for U.S, EU, Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan.
  • Basic familiarity with ISO9001
