Job Description

SUMMARY: The Supervisor’s key responsibilities include the execution of the build schedule to ensure on time customer delivery. In addition, the Supervisor will be responsible for adhering to quality standards, tracking of key metrics and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Execution of manufacturing schedule to ensure customer on time delivery • Attend daily production meetings to review build plans and to work jointly with Materials to identify any risk in meeting plan • Develop work-around plans to mitigate risk to ensure customer on time delivery • Safety – Ensure safety policies are adhered to including policy for notification of incident and follow through of appropriate actions • Track key metrics daily/weekly/monthly • Ensure timely root cause analysis is performed and corrective actions initiated for gaps in key metric performance versus targets. Root cause analysis will be conducted utilizing standard approach per corporate policies and procedures • Ensure policies and procedures are followed. • Participation in Kaizen events, also to include lean manufacturing principles (visual, 5S, KanBan, etc.) • Track headcount per Corporate goals; hire and replace as required • Develop and track training needs per corporate goals • Conduct employee annual performance reviews • Adheres to all quality and safety standards • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

Production Supervisor role that will be requried to work an off shift schedule. The typical work schedule for this role is Fri - Sun (12 hour/day shift)


Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Minimum two year degree or equivalent experience • Seven to ten years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory responsibility • MRP/ERP experience, SAP a plus • Lean manufacturing principles (Kanban, Kaizen events) – preferred • Ability to manage multiple projects and problem solve • Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively with management and personnel at all levels • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Ability to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessary • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. • Work is accomplished in a moderately clean plant environment. The production floor does not have a cooling system. The sound level in the work environment may fluctuate due to noises associated with manufacturing processes. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil and/or fumes. • Work is also accomplished in a typical office environment with adequate environmental (heating/cooling) control. The noise level in the work environment is moderate due to noises associated with computer equipment and environmental control systems. • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
