A Material Handler is responsible for maintaining the flow of materials needed for manufacturing and distribution operations. The role supports productivity by receiving, transporting, storing, issuing, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Receive, inspect, and store materials
Unload incoming shipments
Verify quantities and condition of materials
Place inventory in designated storage locations.
Supply materials to production operations
Deliver raw materials, components, and supplies to work centers and production lines to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing activities.
Inventory Control & Cycle Counting
Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and stock audits while accurately recording material movements in the ERP or inventory management system.
Material Handling Equipment Operation
Use forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to move materials safely while complying with company safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
Job Requirements
Practical/Technical Skills (Depth and scope of knowledge. Technology and Tools)
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification if required.
Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
Experience with ERP systems, especially Made2Manage
Basic knowledge of carrier and freight procedures.
