Position Summary:
The Stock Room Clerk is responsible for maintaining the organization, accuracy, and cleanliness of the stock room for a manufacturing operation. This role involves handling and managing aerospace components such as valves and fittings, maintaining accurate inventory counts, and ensuring that parts are properly stored, tracked, and issued to production following inspection. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with part numbers and computer-based inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the general organization, cleanliness, and upkeep of the stock room.
* Receive, store, and organize components including valves, fittings, and related hardware.
* Maintain accurate inventory counts and perform periodic cycle counts as required.
* Accurately identify and differentiate part numbers and product specifications.
* Pull and stage parts for production after inspection and approval.
* Ensure all parts issued from stock meet quality and inspection requirements.
* Record inventory transactions and updates using computer-based systems.
* Assist with inventory control and stock level monitoring.
* Coordinate with inspection, production, and purchasing departments as needed.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous stock room, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience handling precision components or aerospace parts is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately track part numbers and quantities.
* Basic computer skills required, including inventory or ERP systems.
