*Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of several small businesses. This role will be responsible for bookkeeping, accounting, payroll processing, medical billing, and providing financial oversight across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable handling multiple priorities independently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and general ledger accounting for multiple small businesses
* Process payroll accurately and on time; ensure compliance with all payroll tax requirements
* Handle medical billing, including claims submission, payment posting, and follow-ups
* Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
* Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
* Coordinate with external accountants, tax professionals, and auditors as needed
* Maintain organized financial records and documentation
*Support budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning
* Identify process improvements and ensure financial best practices are followed
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required)
* Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience, preferably with small businesses
* Experience processing payroll and managing payroll compliance
* Billing experience strongly preferred
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple businesses simultaneously
* Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, or similar)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills:
* Experience working in healthcare or medical billing environments
* Knowledge of multi-entity accounting
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
