Summary:
The Third Shift Material Handler is responsible for coordinating and supporting all materials and resins required to manufacture plastic injection molded products through mixing colorants with resins, delivering raw material to presses and removing finished goods from the production floor.
This is not a job where you are an order picker and will be sitting on a tow motor 95% of the day. It is an active and vital role to our production group that is a combination of using electric pallet jacks, climbing and working on/around injection molding presses, entering data into our ERP system to assist with managing inventory levels, and some-to-little tow motor use.
Hours: 11:00 pm -7:30 am (OT as needed)
Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
Responsible for supplying production machines and work cells with required types of raw and packaging materials
Retrieve different resin materials.
Mix thermoplastic materials and coloring pigment according to supplied formula in Process Books.
Material handling and manually switch over materials used on machinery.
Perform daily machine inspections, and complete appropriate paperwork.
Support the Molding Process Technicians with the operation of Battenfeld injection molding presses, ranging in size from 65 to 720 tons, to inject products from thermoplastic materials.
Support the mold changeover process through execution of cleaning of dryers, loaders, and material bins.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience and/or training
Prior experience in warehouse environment and/or industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
Customer focused from both an internal and external perspective.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
