***Konik|PrimeStaff has partnered with a leading design manufacturing services provider to offer 4 long  term contract Manufacturing Engineer positions with 20% travel!!!!!***
We are a product development group that is working on physical products that are typically drug delivery devices. Our Manufacturing Engineering team provides input into the design at the early stages of the project. During the mid-stage, we will develop the fixtures, tooling, and procedures for the assembly of the product. We then refine the processes and equipment in a way that it can be validated and documented that it has the proper capabilities in the later stage of the project and transfer the process and equipment to a production site. Our typical production is for clinical builds, and not commercially for sale product.
  • Our engineers plan and design manufacturing processes for a highly regulated industry (Med device and pharmaceutical drug delivery).
  • We maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force utilization.
  • Determines parts and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
  • Defines and purchases equipment buy using quality system approved processes such as URS, FAT, SAT, pFMEA, and process flow diagrams.
  • We develop and implement “Manumation”, and “Automation”
  • We own getting the product from being single parts to being a full assembly.
  • The initial build volumes in development can be 10 to a few hundred, but our processes must be scalable for automation that can produce 100 million assemblies a year.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related area. (Recent college graduates will be considered)

  • Able to manage small projects and provide work direction and mentoring to Product Engineering Technicians.

  • Drive improvement of unit cost including Cost Savings, Quality Measures, Product Cost, Productivity, Escapes and First Pass Yields.

  • Familiar with project management skills and able to close initiatives on time and within budget

  • Results oriented, self-motivated, process driven

  • Familiar with 6 sigma tool usage.

  • Product design or product manufacturing experience can be helpful.

  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
