Job Description

A New York State agency that manages a recovery and rebuilding program and addresses communities' most urgent needs is seeking a Property Maintenance Coordinator for their Farmingdale, Long Island office.

The selected applicant will work in the office from Monday through Friday during normal business hours and will require some after-hours phone coverage throughout the week. The Coordinator is responsible for calling vendors to coordinate the required maintenance work to be completed on properties owned by the agency.

Daily roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

▪ Communicate maintenance requests, work status, completion, etc. with property owners, tenants, company employees and vendors
▪ Review work order requests and approve or deny the requested work
▪ Assign work orders to the appropriate maintenance vendor
▪ Follow through to ensure the work was completed
▪ Coordinate routine inspections and create and maintain reports for executive staff members
▪ Maintain and develop vendor relationships
