Job Description


  • Working in the External Affairs / public relations unit. 

  • Answer 311 calls about school construction sites and enter complaints in computer tracking system.

  • Organize, document and manage sign orders, liaison contact with sign vendor, check on sign delivery and confirm with  project officers.

  • Compile data from Town Hall briefings.

  • Design, update, produce four brochures each year.

  • Prepare Factsheets with photos construction projects.

  • Compile data, charts, photos and captions in designing, updating and producing 34 POWERPOINT presentations for annual presentations.

  • Schedule presentations.



Job Requirements


  • Ability to obtain information from 311 callers with concerns about school construction work.

  • Good phone skills, organization skills, good graphic abilities and working skills in:  Word Office 2016, Powerpoint, Publisher, Excel and willingness to learn new systems.

  • Coordinate production of construction signs for NYC public school construction projects and prepare expense reports and process payments in receipt of invoices from outside sign vendor using Oracle.

  • Ability to skillfully work with photos and copy to produce   brochures, Powerpoint presentations and reports.

  • Bi-lingual ability in Spanish or Chinese would be a plus.
