The Department of Health is a unique environment for IT functions and support and is composed of Professional staff, Administrative staff and Commissioners. High profile meetings and conference calls are held frequently at this location. This onsite position provides essential and immediate end user support to all office staff including IT needs of Administration and Commissioners. In addition to all IT needs, the position also assists with mobile device support and critical meeting functions including video conferencing and presentations. This position is essential to allow the office to function as required. The incumbent will perform all IT End User Service support activities related to network and system operations, configuration, maintenance, security; customer support/training; project support; conference rooms and mobile devices at the New York State Department of Health located at 90 Church Street in NYC . At times, the position may require moving of equipment up to 50 LBS.
At least 3 years technical experience in end-user desktop trouble-shooting and support.
At least 3 years demonstrated technical experience with office-wide PC, laptop, and printer upgrade activity.
At least 3 years experience with video-teleconference equipment. At least 3 years experience installing and supporting specific surveillance application ASPEN, ACO, and ASE-Q.
At least 3 years experience with the Microsoft Suite of products as well as Windows Server and Desktop O/S end-user training for sharepoint and Microsoft Office 365.
At least 3 years experience in understanding and enforcing confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA/HITECH Law in a health/human service setting.
