The Assistant General Counsel selected will report directly to the General Counsel and will primarily be responsible litigation matters including real estate transaction disputes, recoupments, environmental review challenges, judgment enforcements, and Article 78 proceedings, among others. The Assistant General Counsel may also assist in supervising the litigation caseload of in-house and outside-counsel.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Draft and review summons & complaints, answers, motions to dismiss, discovery requests, and default judgments, etc.
• Provide guidance about the various programs administered by the office as related to overall litigation strategy.
• Under the direction of the General Counsel, supervise and manage litigation caseload of in-house and outside counsel on an as-needed basis.
• Other projects and duties as may be assigned to support the Office of General Counsel.
