Candidates should have experience with the following:
Routine administrative functions including: prioritizing multiple assignments, scheduling meetings and conference calls; maintaining electronic schedules/calendars, and various tracking systems; answering telephone calls, typing correspondence, and independently respond to questions.
Providing high level administrative support for project specific workgroups, including taking notes and minutes, synthesizing information, conducting research and preparing reports.
Screening incoming correspondence and documentation for completeness. Conducting research to verify the accuracy of information provided, referring to appropriate staff for processing and following up as necessary to assure a timely response.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to, Outlook, Word and Excel.
Previous experience working for a federally funded child nutrition program, such as CACFP.
Experience working in a fast paced, office setting, conducting a wide range of administrative tasks to support program operations with knowledge or experience using an online payment processing system and management tool, such as the CACFP Information and Payment System (CIPS) and Docstar eFile Management Software.
Experience working in a government setting.
Familiarity with New York State systems and specific terminology.
Experience with Microsoft Office Software, including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, Access.
