Alphanumeric is hiring a CMM TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to work in Orlando, FL with an environmental-friendly energy innovator focused on sustainability.

Set up and operate various types of computerized and state-of-the-art measuring equipment to determine and supply dimensional information of existing and new component parts in relation to the power systems turbine industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to write, edit and run CMM and Machining Programs;
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications verifying specific dimensions of components;
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications;
Ability to make sound judgments on dimensional inspection findings and make technical recommendations;
Knowledge of CAD related software programs preferred i.e.: Measure ax, Calypso and CAM 2;
Support ISO 9001 audits and compliance efforts;
Ensure product meets or exceeds internal and customer requirements;
Perform other such duties as may be required.

Job Requirements

 


Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
