Alphanumeric is hiring a Data Analyst to work remotely for an established organization with a stronghold in the financial and insurance industries.

The core responsibility of our team is to pursue rate actions on Long Term Care (LTC) blocks of business that are significantly challenged from a margin and loss ratio, perspective. Our team is responsible for the calculation of actuarially justified rate increases (JRI) on the Long- Term Care (LTC) Industry's largest in-force blocks of business. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting rate actions, annual filings and rate certifications by preparing and submitting documentation to the state regulators. This role is an integral part of leading the team responsible for this work, overseeing documentation and communication of results, and providing analysis of model results.
 
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare rate increase filings according with the applicable regulation,
  • Prepare annual filings according with the applicable regulation,
  • Prepare annual rate certifications,
  • Perform reviews (rate increase filings, tools for the filings),
  • Keep models and process updated,
  • Maintain documentation and regulation,
  • Assist in the setup of new team members,
  • Support ad hoc requests for assistance on product issues
  • Collaborate in the training of new members, and
  • Develop reports and interactive Dashboards for management.

Job Requirements

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
*    Associate or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science and/or related major
*    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*    Ability to meet project deadlines and manage multiple priorities
*    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision,
*    Experience in Microsoft applications of Excel and Word
*    Strong communication skills, both oral and written
*    Ability to interact professionally and effectively in a team environment
*    Detail oriented
*    Self-driven, motivated and shows ownership in tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

*    LTC experience,
*    Math, financial, economics or accounting background preferred, and
*    Experience with GGY Axis, SQL, SAS, GreenPlum, Spotfire, Power BI.
