Alphanumeric is hiring a Long Term Care Insurance Rate Action Related Complaint Risk Management Specialist.

Long Term Care ('LTC') Insurance rate action related complaints present complex issues. The Complaint Risk Management Specialist will leverage a combination of critical competencies, acquired in-depth knowledge and business acumen, and proven independent discretionary judgement to create substantive, nuanced letters that respond to the concerns raised, mitigate any potential risks, and contribute to executing the LTC rate action related business strategy, while meeting all internal and external requirements/deadlines. 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Assume individual ownership for concurrently managing multiple complaint cases at a level commensurate with team average/expectations and in support of Genworth's LTC rate action related business strategy, while meeting all internal and external business and regulatory requirements and deadlines.
  • Apply strategic/tactical critical thinking and complex problem solving skills and execute comprehensive complaint case research to identify concerns and anticipate/assess any potential risks. As needed, work collaboratively cross-functionally in executing research.
  • Leverage seasoned business acumen and proven independent discretion in creating substantive, nuanced letters that respond to the concerns raised, mitigate any potential risks, communicate positions in support of the company's business strategy, and are in compliance with company business practices/procedures and legal requirements, as well as applicable laws and regulations.
  • Sustain high level of morale and facilitative teamwork through collaborative participation in support of overall team performance/results and growth/development, while adapting priorities and work approach as needed and executing any individually assigned areas of responsibility. 
  • Collaborate with team members and/or management to: 1) proactively drive/influence business thought leadership on rate action related program messaging, implementation planning and systemic improvements; and 2) share and address any potential risks with, and provide any feedback/recommendations to, appropriate business areas.
  • Participate with team members in executing range of rate action related complaint analytics and assessments to derive actionable business intelligence and influence business decisioning and direction. 

 
Job Requirements

 

Required Qualifications:
 
  • JD or MBA with 2-3 years of business experience or bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of business experience.
  • Seasoned business management skills including: multi-tasking, time management, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, and personal accountability. 
  • Ability to work independently with facilitative guidance and feedback in a fast paced team environment while meeting stringent deadlines.
  • Unique combination of critical competencies, including: finely honed independent discretionary judgement; seasoned business acumen; demonstrated strategic/tactical critical thinking; analytical and complex problem-solving skills; issue-identification/mitigation expertise; nuanced writing/language capabilities; and excellent oral communication skills with the ability to communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Technical Computer Knowledge and Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Teams, PowerPoint).
