Alphanumeric is hiring a CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER to work in Lake Mary, FL with an environmental-friendly energy innovator focused on sustainability.
Salary Range: $80k-$125k
The Control System Engineer is responsible for developing engineering designs, performing engineering reviews, configuration and testing Control Systems that meet code, contract and schedule requirements for Power projects in the Americas. Additional responsibilities include customer training and both remote and on-site support. The role primarily focuses on Control Systems related to large frame industrial gas turbines in simple cycle and/or combined cycle operation with Steam Turbines. Scope may expand to other control systems within the plant at some future point.
Key Responsibilities *Work with applications, estimation and sales groups in developing new business proposals. *Design and review new design concepts and assist in the development of new control systems. *Maintain and modify existing control systems. *Collaborate with design engineers, operations engineers, purchasers, sales & marketing and other internal staff. *Liaison with clients, suppliers, contractors, project management and other relevant authorities within cost and time-constrained environments. *Understand and ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations and quality standards of the country in which work is undertaken. *Development of RFQ's for purchasing equipment. *Configure the Comapny's control System HMI and Database *Manufacturing support and inspection of control systems including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) *Support Field Operations in performing on-site installation of the Company's control systems. oProvide start-up commissioning, operations and/or troubleshooting support for equipment failures and determine root cause analysis and implement solutions. oPrepare and submit accurate reports regarding conditions, required actions and obtained results. *Overnight travel (at least 10%) by land and/or air. *Perform Classroom & OJT training of the Company's Control system. *Perform other such duties as may be required.
Job Requirements

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. *Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering from four-year college or university; and at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in specific control disciplines such as advanced process control (APC), distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), OPC/Modbus and other forms of industry known communications and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) as applicable to power plants. *Basic knowledge in computer and networking concepts is required *Previous experience of DIASYS Netmation Control System, PLC or other DCS is required *Possess current, working knowledge of power plants process, operation, control system design is highly preferred. *Familiar with USA/International codes and standards such as UL508A, NFPA 70 & 79A, CSA C22. 1, IEC 60204-1, NEMA, etc. is highly preferred *Experience with Gas Turbine Control, Combined Cycle Balance of Plant Logic programming using Function Block Diagram; Control narrative & SAMA logic preparation is highly preferred. *Experience with Control System and Panels design including but not limited to equipment selection, equipment layout and I/O Module selection and assignment is highly preferred. Control System retrofit experience is highly preferred. *Experience with HMI Graphic Creation Tools and High-Performance Graphics (ISA 101) is a plus. *Knowledge in industrial Control System Cyber Security requirements such as NERC CIP and IEC 62443 is a plus *Computer programming language knowledge using C# or Visual Basic.Net is a plus. *EPLAN: Experience with the Electric P8 and Pro Panel software is a plus.
