Alphanumeric Systems is hiring a Shipping Bill of Material (SBOM) Specialist to support our global energy client-a leading innovator in environmentally sustainable and high-efficiency power solutions. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy and completeness of supplier shipments, helping prevent costly project delays, shortages, and damages.
About the Role
The SBOM Specialist is responsible for verifying that suppliers ship all required materials per purchase order, specification, and drawing requirements. This role will ensure that all documentation aligns with engineering and procurement expectations, helping reduce overages, shortages, damages, and liquidated damages (LDs) associated with project delivery.
You'll serve as a liaison between Engineering, Global Sourcing, Quality, Logistics, and Construction to maintain high accuracy in shipment verification and documentation for major energy infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate Shipping Bills of Material (SBOMs) to confirm all materials are included and properly documented.
- Cross-reference Purchase Orders, Specifications, and Engineering Drawings (Mechanical, Piping, Electrical) to ensure completeness of shipments.
- Communicate directly with suppliers to resolve discrepancies in SBOMs and shipping documentation.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Expediting, and Document Control teams to ensure timely SBOM approval and release.
- Provide weekly activity reports and monthly summaries to the Materials Manager.
- Participate in bi-weekly departmental meetings and maintain proactive communication with internal teams via Microsoft Teams.
- Support process improvements to minimize Overage, Shortage, and Damage (OS&D) reports.
- Maintain professional communication and documentation with suppliers and project stakeholders.
