We are seeking a skilled Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the upkeep of CNC machines, grinders, and welding equipment. This hands-on role is critical to ensuring peak performance, reliability, and safety across our production floor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, a proactive safety mindset, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Perform expert-level preventative maintenance on a wide range of machinery including CNC, grinders, and welding machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures; dismantle and inspect equipment to locate root causes.
Adjust and repair functional parts and control instruments to restore equipment functionality.
Perform equipment testing on electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
Source parts, supplies, and repair items as needed to complete maintenance tasks.
Collaborate with production teams to coordinate daily preventative maintenance schedules.
Utilize machining tools (lathe, drill press, grinder, etc.) to fabricate and repair parts.
Monitor equipment using predictive maintenance technologies and recommend maintenance improvements.
Maintain 5S workplace organization and comply with housekeeping standards.
Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to improve processes and reduce downtime.
Maintain and update maintenance records accurately using computer systems (Outlook, Teams, Excel, SAP).
Support installation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical components including motors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and machine control systems.
Remain available for emergency situations (machine breakdowns, outages, inclement weather, etc.) on a 24/7 basis.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in preventative maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Experience with CNC machines, grinders, welding machines, and related support systems.
Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Proficient with computer systems and software such as Outlook, Teams, Excel, and SAP.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must demonstrate a strong 'Safety First' mentality and follow all safety protocols.
Willingness to be on-call and respond to facility emergencies as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or training in industrial maintenance or related field.
Familiarity with CI (Continuous Improvement) tools and methodologies.
Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
